La Semaine du Son: Nov. 17-27

Montreal's first "semaine du son" (sound week) begins this week. This is an annual event which takes place in 27 cities across France and now in Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Québec and Sherbrooke.

There are a variety of activities taking place, including sound walks, installations, conferences and demonstrations. You can attend a presentation of narwhal recordings, partake in one of Christina Kubisch's promenades électriques or a sound walk with Andra McCartney, learn about sound reduction or visit the laboratory of Le Groupe d’Acoustique de l’Université de Sherbrooke (GAUS).
